Professional Exterior House Washing is perfect for homes made of any material; vinyl, brick, stucco and wood. But please know that High pressure can easily cause serious damage. Vinyl siding & Stucco are two of the most delicate sidings that are cleaned. The way to clean these safely is a process which professionals refer to as “Softwashing.” This method uses cold water and very specific cleaning agents that do all the work rather than high pressure. Our cleaners have surfactants and rinse aides similar to what your dishwasher uses. This helps your windows clean up nicely along with your siding. Special cleaners, such as algeacide or fungicide, is another important ingredient that helps to slow the return of the nasty green algae that is prevalent in the warm, humid areas of East Tennessee.
Brick is a harder and more solid building substance than siding. Because of this, high pressure can be safely used. Because dirt, mold, and algae can grow here, it needs to be cleaned. Brick is porous, instead of solid, so the dirt can go deeper than the surface. So, just like siding, we apply the cleaning agent and leave it there for a few minutes. Then rinse it with more pressure and water. Wood Clapboard and Hardy board can be a delicate, easy to destroy, surface depending on the condition of the wood and the paint. Most of the the time either the wood or the paint is starting to deteriorate. So, just like vinyl or stucco siding, low pressure cleaning will be used for safe, damage free cleaning.
